Application

When to use: Use Lacto-Start Colostrum when insufficient colostrum is available or is of poor quality. Can be fed to calves as a natural alternative to colostrum.

Lacto-Start Colostrum contains high levels of natural sources of Beta carotene which will cause colour spotting during the mixing process.

Mixing & Feeding Instructions:

  • Add 1 litre of 40°C warm water to the bottle.
  • Shake thoroughly until smooth. Fill with additional warm water to top, making a total of approximately 1.5 litres. Feed immediately.
  • Feed entire mixture to calf as soon as possible after birth. Feed via teat provided or where necessary via a stomach tube ensuring all feeding equipment is clean.
